MUSLIM YOUTH FOUNDATION, INC.
 

Mission / Vision

     It is the mission of the Muslim Youth Foundation, Inc. to uplift the plight of our Muslim brothers through education.

     The Foundation shall foster educational opportunities for the poor and underprivileged, but deserving Muslim youth and students of the Philippines, and support research and advance studies of youth educators, teachers and scientists.

Incorporation of the Foundation

     The original Certificate of Incorporation of the MUSLIM YOUTH FOUNDATION under Securities and Exchange Commission Number A-200002526 was registered on Feb. 17, 2000. Likewise, the original Articles of Incorporation and by-laws was adopted on Feb. 15, 2000.

Scholars:

     A total of THIRTY-FIVE scholarship slots deliberated and approved by the Board of Trustees. The grantees are enrolled in the different state universities located in Metro Manila and in Mindanao. In April 2005. two of the Muslim scholars in U.P. Mindanao had successfully obtained their Bachelor’s Degree and joined the SY 2004-2005 graduation rite.


Application for Scholarship:

     MYFI scholars are pre-screened by a Committee at their respective Universities / Colleges. After the pre-screening committee had submitted and complied with some material requirements, the MYFI Board would deliberate on the application for scholarship and correspondingly award a slot.

Following are the requirements to wit:

  • The student must be a Muslim Youth
  • Formal letter of application addressed to the BOT
  • Profile of the applicant
  • Certification from the Department of Muslim Affair
  • Certication of Good moral character
  • Transcript of Records from the school he last attended
  • NBI, Police, and Court clearances
  • 1 x 1 I.D. pictures (2 pcs.)
  • Personal or Parent latest Income Tax Return
  • Such other documentary requirements as may be required to be submitted later

Scholarship Assistance:

     An MYFI scholar shall be entitled to an educational assistance in the amount of TEN THOUSAND PESOS (Php 10,000 ) per semester that would help defray his expenses in the entire semester.

     Liquidation for the amount issued to the scholar must be done for office record purposes.
